What a weekend...

 Friday started with fantastic cocktails by the Koi Pond at the patio lounge at the Miramar with my amazing hubby. I love that hotel. It was a beautiful evening, and a great way to relax from the week.



Saturday we went to see The Great Gatsby. It was pretty good. Not quite what I was hoping for, but still pretty good. Leo was pretty damn good, and (of course) visually it was amazing.  Then we can home and made a delicious and simple dinner.

Salad: blanched brussels sprouts, asparagus, avocado, lemon, olive oil, pecorino, & caramelized shallots

Steak with sauteed mushrooms, and caramelized shallots (yes, that's right - we put caramelized shallot on both the steak, and the salad. they are that delicious!)

 

Did I mention the martini? A delicious Martini!

 

I was cooking in my Ruby Slippers. I love my Ruby Slippers!

Sunday we went out to visit the family, and celebrate my brother's birthday! 19! Damn. Time is flying by.

Now it is Monday... and I'm counting down the days until the weekend. This weekend we're heading to San Fransisco to see some family, and to explore the city. I cannot wait! :)
